NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on June 11, 2026, there has been presented to the Town Board of the Town of Elba New York, proposed Local Law No. 1 for 2026, a Local Law to Extend the 12-Month Moratorium on Tier 3 Solar Energy Systems, Large Battery Energy Storage Systems, and Commercial Wind Energy Systems. The purpose of this Local Law is to enable the Town time to study the impacts, effects, and possible additional zoning controls over such activities, and to consider amendments to the Town’s zoning laws to appropriately address the same within the confines of New York State Law.
THEREFORE, pursuant to statute the Town Board will hold a public hearing on said Local Law at 6:45 P.M. on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at the Elba Town Hall, 7133 Oak Orchard Road, Elba, New York 14058, Genesee County New York, at which time and place all persons interested will be heard. A copy of the proposed Local Law is on file for public review at the Town Office of the Town of Elba during normal business hours.

NOTICE OF FILING TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL
(Pursuant to Section 506 of the Real Property Tax Law)
Notice is hereby given that the Assessor has completed the TENTATIVE
Assessment Roll for the Town of Elba in the County of Genesee for the year 2026.
The roll is on file and may be seen online @elbanewyork.com. The Board of
Assessment Review will meet to hear complaints at 7133 Oak Orchard Road Elba
Town Hall on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 from 4pm to 8pm. Please call 585-734-8372
or barreas@rochester.rr.com for details. Formal complaints will need to be filed
with all documentation by 4 pm May 26, 2026. Forms may be left at the Town
anytime prior to May 26, 2026.
The Assessor will be in attendance with the Tentative Roll at 3219 Drake St
–Oakfield,NY – Community & Government Center on Tuesdays thru Thursdays
from 11am to 3pm; Tuesday, May 12th, 2026 from 6pm to 8pm and Saturday,
May 16, 2026 from 8am to 12 noon- all by appointment only by calling 585-734-
8372 by May 14, 2026 or barreas@rochester.rr.com. All assessment data
available at geneseecounty.prosgar.com.
In accordance with Section 526 of the Real Property Tax Law, a publication
containing the procedures for contesting an assessment is available at the
Assessor’s Office.
